This a forum set up and run members of the band Poison Girls. A brief history of the band Poison Girls formed in 1977 and were active through to 1989. We were at the forefront of the anarcho-feminist punk movement. We did over 500 gigs throughout Britain, Europe and the USA, released 6 albums and various singles, ran XNTrix records and XNTrix publishing, produced The Impossible Dream collage magazine, and a host of other theatrical and artistic projects We were critically acclaimed as independent, articulate and politically savvy, and both the music and lyrics seem as relevant today as they were in the 1980s.
We would love to get this forum going as a space for like minded people to rail against the system, or just get together to talk about whatever takes our fancy. Personally I want to find out why there are no protest songs anymore given the state we are in? Or maybe there are, and I am just completely out of touch!
Ask questions if you must, we will try to answer them. But mainly just tell us what is going on for you
